TCU is moving on.

The Horned Frogs had a chance to upset the Jayhawks in Allen Fieldhouse for the second consecutive year, but Ernest Udeh’s flagrant foul changed the course of the 83-81 defeat.

Though it would be simple to pout, the Horned Frogs have already advanced to face No. 9 Oklahoma on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. When you are facing a top-10 opponent, there is no time to be upset over calls that you feel were questionable.

In the first road test, Sooners face TCU’s tempo | Norman Transcript
The Horned Frogs, who are 11-3 overall and have just narrowly lost to the Kansas squad, will present the Sooners with their first real road test of the season.

TCU has defeated the Sooners in its last two encounters in Fort Worth and is unbeaten at Schollmaier Arena.

This season, the Sooners have traveled to neutral locations for four games outside of the Lloyd Noble Center and have won three of them.

An inside look at Sonny Dykes’ decision to assign Andy Avalos as TCU’s defensive coordinator | Fort Worth Star-Telegram
We’ve been in that world for a few years, so we’re going to be a multiple front defense, Avalos stated.

“The offense test won’t always be an open book exam. Being numerous is necessary in order to produce unique presentations, thus that has accounted for a significant portion of our work. That’s what we built in Boise and accomplished in Oregon.

“We wanted to be more diverse in some of the things we do because it felt like the league was changing,” Dykes remarked. “I talked about my vision with Joe a few times, but I wasn’t sure we were on the same page about the future.”

In addition to wanting someone to serve as the defense’s “head coach” both on the field and in recruiting, Dykes stated that he wanted to play more aggressive defense.

Pro Frogs in 2024 The South Side Sox Top Prospect No. 82: South Side Sox’s Garrett Wright
Wright was the Sox’s final selection, but he has a lot of potential. With too much money spent on the major league bullpen in the last two seasons, pitchers like Wright—who have recently participated in the World Series and Power 5 conference—have the ability to advance fast through the minor league ranks. Wright hasn’t pitched in major league ball yet, but if the organization is aggressive in assigning him to an affiliate in Kannapolis in 2024, don’t be shocked.
No Jackson, no Morant, no issue: Motivated Mavericks lose to the Grizzlies | Daily Memphian
The Grizzlies were therefore not only huge underdogs but also extremely driven to give this particular game their all.

They succeeded admirably, controlling Dallas for the most part of the game and winning easily, 120-103.
A number of players came forward to provide the Grizzlies with enormous playing time and a brilliant display.
At the top of the list was Bane, who played his college ball at TCU and scored 32 points in a game that was effectively a homecoming.

Dallas is the guard for the Grizzlies’ second home. He actually stated on Sunday that he intends to purchase a home in the city.

Does American Airlines Center have a retail price? In his last two visits, he has added 30 more points to his total.
The Mavericks’ decision to pass on him in the 2020 NBA draft still bothers him.

Bane remarked, “They were supposed to take me.” “You are aware of that. When the PA man approached, he apologized. He claimed to consider it daily.
“I want them to be thinking about precisely that.”
