Ferguson was accused of burglary, assault, strangulation, intimidating, terroristic threatening, criminal mischief, and stealing a debit or credit card, according to a statement released by St. Matthews police on Wednesday.

Authorities stated that they were unable to provide any additional comments due to the delicate nature of the case.

A request for comment on Wednesday was not immediately answered by Ferguson’s lawyer.
An emergency protection order against Ferguson was issued, according to NBC affiliate WAVE of Louisville. The order claims that Ferguson entered a woman’s home without her consent, choked her, and threatened to murder her.

The Food Network website describes Ferguson as a celebrity chef, restaurateur, and businessman. He participated in three seasons of Guy Fieri’s “Tournament of Champions,” and he frequently judges episodes of “Chopped” and “Guy’s Grocery Games.”

Additionally, he made appearances on OWN’s “Food Fantasies” and “The Big Holiday Food Fight.”

Ferguson hosts Food Network’s “Superchef Grudge Match,” a reality competition in which chefs from across the nation “settle personal and professional disputes with their foes in a one-round, one-dish, winner-takes-all heavyweight battle.” Ferguson also runs a nonprofit organization called SuperChef’s CAPE.
An inquiry for comment on Wednesday was not immediately answered by a Food Network representative.
