Everything to know about the 2025 South Carolina State Fair

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Here’s a look at everything to know about this year’s South Carolina State Fair ⬇️

WHEN IS THE FAIR?

The South Carolina State Fair runs from Oct. 8-19.

CAN I STILL GET TICKETS?

Yes! You can buy tickets and ride vouchers online or at participating Circle K stores. Click here for more information.

WHERE DO I PARK?

To park at the fairgrounds, enter through one of three gates:

  • Gate 6: 901 George Rogers Boulevard
  • Gate 7: 1041 George Rogers Boulevard
  • Gate 10: 901 Bluff Road

Parking is $10 per vehicle each day except for Oct. 18. Due to the South Carolina football game that day at Williams-Brice Stadium, parking will increase to $20. Reserved football parking passes are not valid during the fair.

Parking can only be paid by credit/debit card. No cash will be accepted.

Gates are also subject to closure if capacity is reached. If this happens, alternate parking can be found at nearby locations.

CLEAR BAG POLICY

Per the SC State Fair: “To provide a safe environment, the S.C. State Fair has a mandatory clear bag policy. This year all bags must be clear with two exceptions: diaper bags accompanied with a baby and medically necessary items. This policy is similar to those implemented throughout Columbia, S.C., and the country, complying with a new level of security expected of large, heavily attended events and festivals.”

YOUTH ADMISSION POLICY

Per the SC State Fair: “To promote a family-friendly environment, the S.C. State Fair has updated its Youth Admission Policy, which outlines important guidelines for minors attending the fair. From Sundays to Thursdays after 5 p.m., guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian who is at least 21 years old to enter the fairgrounds. All day on Fridays and Saturdays, all guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian who is at least 21 years old to enter the fairgrounds.”
