Bobbi Althoff Opens Up About Judging Her Mom for Having Kids by Different Men: “You Are a Hoe”

Bobbi Althoff is learning the hard way that the same standards we judge others by often circle back to bite us. During a recent candid interview with rapper Lil Tjay on The Really Good Podcast, the viral content creator opened up about the breakdown of her marriage, motherhood, and her complicated relationship with the past, including how she once harshly judged her own mother for decisions she now finds herself unintentionally mirroring.

“You Are a Hoe”: Bobbi Admits to Harshly Judging Her Mother

In the vulnerable sit-down, Althoff revealed that her current life path, specifically as a co-parent to her two daughters following a divorce, has forced her to revisit the judgments she once hurled at her own mother.

“I judged my mom a lot for doing that,” she admitted around the 13-minute mark of the interview. “She had two baby daddies and I was like, ‘You are a hoe.’ And then I got divorced. If I have more kids, I’ll have two baby daddies, and that’s kind of crazy.”

The striking confession stunned listeners for its rawness and honesty. Althoff didn’t sugarcoat her hypocrisy. She fully owned it. “I was married and stuff, and I thought we would be married forever, so I didn’t think I was having kids in a broken home, but it happened.”

The viral podcaster’s self-awareness is cutting and tragically relatable for women who grew up under one set of assumptions only to live through a very different reality.

The Divorce: Bobbi and Cory’s Split

Althoff’s split from her now-ex-husband, Cory Althoff, was finalized earlier this year, following a July 4, 2023 separation. In a February Instagram statement announcing their divorce, Bobbi struck a tone of gratitude and mutual respect.

“As most of you have heard, Cory and I have filed for divorce,” she wrote. “As sad as I am right now, I am so thankful for the time I got to be his wife. Our girls are so lucky to have him as a father & I am so lucky to be able to coparent with such an incredible father and person. While our relationship did not work out as husband and wife, we will always be friends and I will always love him.”

The pair, who share two young daughters, continue to co-parent. But the marriage’s collapse left Bobbi publicly reevaluating her image and values, especially as she now faces the likelihood of having more children in the future with different partners.

The Drake Rumors: What Really Happened?

Despite the amicable public breakup, Bobbi’s divorce wasn’t without speculation. A persistent rumor swirled in 2023 that the catalyst for the Althoffs’ split was a rumored hookup between Bobbi and rapper Drake. The speculation ignited after her The Really Good Podcast interview with the Toronto rapper went viral, then mysteriously vanished.

Not only was the interview abruptly deleted, but the two unfollowed each other on Instagram shortly after. That alone was enough for social media sleuths to erupt with theories about what might’ve happened behind the scenes.

Althoff, for her part, shut it down. When Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy messaged her on Instagram to ask whether the Drake rumor was true, she replied privately:

“I am not commenting publicly but off the record, you’re right, that is not true.”

Though the denial was clear, the internet continued to speculate. Bobbi’s swift rise to podcast fame with high-profile guests and sharp editing had already turned her into a mysterious, deadpan It-girl. The Drake drama only added to the intrigue.

The Mystery Man and Another Public Breakup

Adding more fuel to the fire, Althoff appeared to “soft launch” a new relationship on TikTok in December 2024, posting cryptic clips that hinted at a new romantic chapter. Online sleuths speculated that the man in question was NFL cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting of the Atlanta Cardinals.

Murphy-Bunting quickly shot that rumor down, clarifying that the two were not dating. Althoff followed up with another announcement: she was single again.
