Her duties involved assisting with daily operations, academics, and recruiting.

Afterwards, Edwards ended up on the SMU Mustangs coaching staff. She started as the Director of Player Personnel in April 2021, and quickly climbed the ranks to Assistant Coach and Recruiting Co-Ordinator.
