Goldie Hawn is among the celebs who are aging with refreshing confidence, with the Hollywood icon sharing a casual swimsuit snapshot to Instagram in early September 2025. The social media post shows the Maryland native and her son, Oliver Hudson, standing on the beach and looking out toward an expanse of water as a handful of kids play in the picturesque waves. Both of the adults are wearing swimsuits, with Hawn in a black one-piece and Hudson in a Speedo with his name printed across the back.Â
“Happy birthday my Oliver,” she wrote in the caption. “Every moment I’m with you is a blessing 🩷 you captured my heart at our first hello!” We love how Hawn, who’s had a stunning Hollywood transformation, casually shared the revealing snapshot, showing how normal it should be to live in our bodies at any age. Still, given her positive philosophy about mental health and aging, this casual show of confidence shouldn’t be surprising at all.
Goldie has been a champion for mental health awareness
In addition to being a Hollywood icon, Goldie Hawn has been a long-time advocate of mental health awareness, launching Mind Up: The Goldie Hawn Foundation in 2003. The initiative aims to utilize science-based research to develop resources and curricula that support emotional and social development, with the star being inspired by her own childhood experiences with anxiety. This dedication seems to extend to her perspective on aging, as she’s expressed a neutral and positive outlook on growing older.
“It’s all about how you make it. It’s all in your mind,” Hawn told Porter Magazine, as reported by Huffpost. “It’s wonderful to know you’re aging, because that means you’re still on the planet, right?” In a 2011 interview with Our Inner Lives, the “Overboard” actor explained that aging wasn’t something she specifically thought about a lot, instead focusing on living a well-rounded life. “Obviously, I want the optimum experience, I want to stay energetic, I try to take care of myself, I understand what makes me feel good, so I make sure I get that in there. I’m conscious of my internal life,” she said.
This outlook plays into Hawn’s methods for staying healthy after 60, with the celeb opening up to People about her day-to-day goals. “I try to drink my juices. I try to work out every day a little bit,” she said in 2017. “I have short meditation spurts during the day … I hike. I bike. I try to have as much fun as possible.” Overall, Hawn’s approach to aging, happiness, and wellness serves as a lesson in confidence for people of all ages, but especially for older women.
