Alaska Airlines ground stop lifted but flight delays continue

The Seattle-based airline stated in an announcement it requested a floor cease for all Alaska and Horizon air flights out of an abundance of warning after it “skilled a problem whereas performing an improve to the system that calculates our weight and steadiness.”

The bottom cease lasted from about 7:30 a.m. to eight:30 a.m. Pacific time, when flights started resuming.

The vast majority of the delays have been at Seattle-Tacoma Worldwide Airport.

As of 10:10 a.m., Seattle-Tacoma Worldwide Airport reported a complete of 136 flight delays and one cancelation. Of these, 99 are Alaska Airways flights and 19 are Horizon Air flights.
